Our Philosophy

Legacy Learning Collective is a community-based educational organization that connects homestead experts, artisan craftspeople, and traditional skill practitioners with individuals seeking to build self-sufficiency and sustainability. Our mission is to empower people to become their own legacy - learning through hands-on education in organic farming, traditional crafts, food preservation, and sustainable living practices.

Continuous Learning

At Legacy Learning Collective, we are committed to building a vibrant community of local learners who share a passion for traditional skills. We believe in the transformative power of coming together to learn, share, and grow. By integrating awareness of our shared values and beliefs into our classes and meet-ups, we aim to create a supportive network that encourages collaboration, creativity, and a sense of belonging.

In-Person Focus

We believe that in-person classes provide the best environment for mastering essential skills. Engaging face-to-face allows for immediate feedback and hands-on experience, ensuring that students retain information more effectively. Our hands-on approach fosters collaboration and connection, enhancing the learning experience. By choosing in-person classes, we are committed to equipping our students with the practical skills they need to succeed.

In Harmony with the Land

At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to living in harmony with the land. Every action we take and every partnership we forge is guided by this principle, as we believe that a sustainable relationship with our environment is essential for future generations. We strive to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations that share our vision of living in harmony with the land around us. Together, we work towards creating a thriving ecosystem that supports both our community and the natural world.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
